Currently fabricating several lifting beams at National Grid’s LNG Storage site at Glenmavis. The site understands the importance of manual handling issues and has decided to place 2 no lifting beams in the site boiler house to assist with the lifting of boiler manway doors and reduce manual handling and safety issues that could occur during boiler inspections.
An additional lifting beam is also been installed to assist with phase II Tanker Loading pump removal. This pump is normally removed for maintenance using a mobile crane which allows the task to be performed safely, however the lifting beam will provide economic benefits as the site can use the lifting beam coupled with a fork lift truck in order to safely remove the pump whilst providing the site with significant long term cost benefits.
Every plant should have accurate details of their facility and the site’s piping and instrument diagrams should always be maintained and reflect an accurate depiction of the current plant layout. 3D pipeline isometrics have several advantages over existing 2D piping and instrument diagrams.
We are currently working with our design partners to provide the design and installation of a new building for DM Design. This includes the design and installation of a large cold rolled steel structure that will become the backbone of the building.
